OWNERSHIP HISTORY OF ITEM:-
This old album of tintypes and photographs was given to her by Mrs. Hannah (Pitman) Burrill of Argyle Head, NS. The album appears to have originally belonged to Hannah and Verna’s common grandmother, Jane (Harding) Abbott. Jane Abbott passed this album & these family photographs on to her daughter, Ella Dora (Abbott) Pitman, Hannah’s mother. Ella Pitman and her daughter, Hannah (Pitman) Burrill were very interested in family history and genealogy. This probably lead to their careful identification of all photographs in their possession. Hannah of course inherited this album from her mother.
